Dr. Chang Kuo-en was appointed the 13th president of National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) on February 22, 2010 by the National Science Council (NSC).
Edutainment 2011 is the sixth International Conference on E-Learning and Games, which provides an international forum for researchers and practitioners in various disciplines to share and exchange of experiences in the emerging research area combining Education and Entertainment. Edutainment 2011 becomes an international major conference, which facilitates the international exchange of the-state-of-the-art in academic research and practice. The conference covers all aspects of pedagogical principles, designs and technological issues for Education and Entertainment.
Digital content specialists from around the Pacific Rim convened at the City University of Hong Kong between December 1 and 3 for the Pacific Neighborhood Consortium (PNC) 2010 Annual Conference and Joint Meetings. This year’s conference is entitled “From Digital Content to Knowledge Asset”. Academia Sinica Vice Presidents Chao-Han Liu and Fan-sen Wang led a group of Taiwan researchers to join the conference.
With the evolution of the times, the running of museums has also evolved, with the value and functions of museums continuously expanding. As one of the top five museums in the world, the National Palace Museum holds more than 670,000 items of fine Chinese painting, calligraphy, antiquities and rare books. It therefore carries even greater social expectations and cultural responsibility, and must also make more proactive efforts to explore new, non-traditional means of education and exhibition.
