TELDAP joint director Lee Der-tsai was awarded the NSC Third Class Science Medal during the Council’s 50th anniversary gathering in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development and promotion of scientific research in Taiwan.
TELearn 2009 provides a forum for researchers who study technology enhanced learning to publish research findings and exchange experiences in conducting related projects. The progress in information technology allows cultural artifacts to be suitably preserved in digital form. The digital file building work of the National Science Council’s TELDAP is on-going and, to date, TELDAP has accumulated over 3 million cultural artifact digital files. The objective of the Digital Archives Plan is not just storing artifacts in a different form, the aim is to use IT and the Internet to encourage the wide application and sharing of the artifacts and allow this precious material to be applied on various levels in academia, education, research, society and industry.
