The 2010 International Workshop on Science and Engineering Education (IWSEE 2010) affiliated with TWELF 2010 will be held on Oct. 22-23, 2010 at Asia University, Taichung, Taiwan. IWSEE 2010 aims to address the state-of-the-art approaches for science and engineering education. The scientists, engineers and practitioners in different disciplines can present and exchange ideas, results and experiences in their areas for various prominent theory and applications.
Due to the natural beauty of its wings, butterfly is a symbol of woman’s delicacy. Oftentimes, it is also viewed as a carefree creature. In fact, rather than carefree, butterfly perhaps is uncaring because of its remarkable life form.
To meet the need for recording information and ideas, unique forms of calligraphy (the art of writing) have been part of the Chinese cultural tradition over the ages. Naturally finding applications in daily life, calligraphy still forms a continuous link between the past and the present. The history and development of calligraphy, long a subject of interest in Chinese culture, is the theme of this exhibit, which presents selections from the National Palace Museum collection arranged in chronological order for a general overview.
