3D NPM - A wondrous journey of 3-dimensional sight and other senses!
Over the past few years, the National Palace Museum (NPM) has been engaged in a large-scale project to digitize its vast collection of cultural assets. At its Future Museum at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, the NPM is using interdisciplinary art and advanced digital technologies to create a great dialogue between the past and present. The exhibit utilizes 3D technologies that ingenuously bring together national treasures of the NPM collection in an exciting, interactive multimedia display. In the exhibit, Magic Crystal Ball and Inside unlock the amazing skills of ancient craftsmanship in art, allowing you to experience the joy an emperor in antiquity would have had when holding an artwork in his hands. 3D Chinese Paintings seem to take you right into their world. And can the fish that came to life through the artist's brush Jumping Over the Dragon Gate in the virtual world? Come and experience for yourself!
