As of 2011 the National Chiang Kai-shek Cultural Center (the center hereafter) has been established for 24 years. The establishment of the National Theater & Concert Hall was a testament to the fact that while rapid economic and cultural development was achieved in Taiwan, difficulties were overcome and progress also made in the performing arts.
EFQUEL Executive Manager Rolf Reinhardt used the metaphor of a flower garden to describe EFQUEL’s activity cycle. From the first stage of sowing the seeds of quality, to the second stage of watering and tending the flowers, to the third stage of growing and fostering them, to the fourth stage of integrating them, he gave a complete encapsulation of EFQUEL’s activities. He touched on the themes of maintaining innovation and pursuing sustainability as the ultimate goals, echoing the main themes of the annual assembly: Inclusivity, Innovation, and Excellence.
