就與會專家的觀察,學習在西方社會,是一種學習者主動的「付出」與「享受」,但是在華人文化圈的學習,卻經常是被動而痛苦的。以中國大陸的例子來說,由於中國過去「硬式教育」的填塞,使得不少消費者抱持著「上了大學!可以把書給丟了!」、「沒學位上課作啥?」的心態,必須結合企業界內部的升等機制,來作為消費者學習的誘因;而在臺灣市場,也有類似的現象。因此與會專家認為,「企業戰士」首先必須要強化心態上的武裝,拋棄「Learning for Pass」的想法,進而建立起「不學,不活」的危機感與價值觀。
