Riding the Currents of History - Four Thousand Years of Civilization and Technology, a special exhibition jointly organized by the National Museum of Prehistory and the IHP, Academia Sinica, opened on March 8th in the National Museum of Prehistory, Taidong. A grand opening ceremony was held on March 10th.Curator Tong Chun-fa of the National Museum of Prehistory, deputy director Tsang of the IHP and figures from politics, culture, and tourism and broadcasting circles attended the opening ceremony.

Although the main focus of this special exhibition is Chinese culture and history through the ages the IHP deputy director Tsang is a former curator of the National Museum of Prehistory and the IHP has played an important role in the development of archeology in Taiwan giving the display of the Grand Secretariat Archives, ancient books, cultural artifacts of the minorities of southwest China and various rubbings in Taidong special meaning in terms of disseminating knowledge. It also spares the people of east Taiwan the tiring journey to Taipei or another city to see the exhibition and closes the digital knowledge gap between the region and Taipei.

This exhibition will be held in National Museum of Prehistory until April 30 and members of the public are invited to view it and offer their opinions.
