A museum collection can give a realistic image of what life was like in the past. A digital archive collection can be a link between the most ancient eras and the modern world. If you want to learn more about TELDAP, or if you are an internet-savvy lover of the arts and humanities, don’t miss the National Taiwan Museum’s special exhibition, “ A Digital Time Machine-the stories of those years”, held in Room B02 on the first floor, lower level.

An opening ceremony was held on Friday, February 24 at 2:00 PM in the Reception Hall at the National Taiwan Museum. On hand to give inaugural speeches were Ching-Fong Chang, Deputy Minister of the Executive Yuan’s National Science Council; Fan-Sen Wang, Program Director and Vice President of the Academia Sinica; and Director of the National Taiwan Museum and Tsung-Huang Hsiao. There was a puppet show, and Mr. Hung Jung-Liang, director of the documentary film “Abba (Father)” was also present, sharing his impressions of his father Hong Yi-Feng, and the moving story behind its creation.

In the special exhibition, the themes of “Taipei Sky”, the “Cultural Tribes” of various places , and nostalgic “Life entertainment” of the past are presented. The customs and patterns of life in Taiwan’s history are presented through the telling of stories in a multi-sensory story telling experience: entering the digital time machine, you hear music and see a film, and you can play an interactive digital game that gives you a feel of the pulse and life of those times.
The exhibition will also be accompanied by an online quiz with prizes held together with City talk—First Stop for Events and Entertainment; 100 admission tickets, along with exclusive TELDAP souvenirs, will be given out.
