Joint director of TELDAP Lee Der-tsai wins the 2008 National Science Council Science Medal

TELDAP joint director Lee Der-tsai was awarded the Third Class Science Medal during the Council’s 50th anniversary gathering in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development and promotion of scientific research in Taiwan.
Dr. Lee was awarded this medal for his outstanding research in the field of Information Science, promotion of inter-disciplinary cooperation and international exchange, energetic involvement in nurturing of IT talent and skills upgrading and his substantial contribution to the foundation of information education in Taiwan. This academic honor follows his election as a member of the Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and winning of the German Humboldt Research Award.
